Fear of Darkness
Lost down a barren road
ditches and ready to erode
dim pale lightens my path
mist less fog engulfs like a wrath
in the distance pops up a castle
cliff it sits on looks so fragile
closer I get feel the darkness
lack of beauty demonstrates its starkness
looks so abandoned and secluded
wonder if the dog is included
moving closer that's no dog I see
it's massive wolf, it's getting scary
standing staring howling a loud
up towards the moon so proud
golden eyes fixed and piercing
drawn on me so very fiercely
looking to the moon as if to summon
large black bats all to common
they swoop and dive so erratic
the way they come together it is poetic
wings spread wide as they plunge
moving and dipping as they lunge
driving quickly to evade
moving around me like a brigade
a large loud thump on my car
the castle I saw is now not far
inching closer as if I'm forced
now I notice I'm on new course
large claws rip out the window
I guess I'm now off to limbo
