Hey guys..my first essay of the year please tell me hoe I did
This I Believe
People… our own personal race… yet we don’t understand each other, heck we barely understand ourselves. We all dress differently, have different beliefs, yet we don’t act differently than how our looks describe us. Some people think they can understand anyone just because of their beliefs or way of dressing, but we are not. Just because a person is dressed like someone who belongs in a gang or looks like a cholo to be precise. They look like people who would harm you, but they can do the exact opposite!
The way someone acts does not mean that is how that said person is in the inside. No one can never know the intentions of another person, unless they are either a psychic or a person who studies a person very well. Heck one can be a person who is constantly donating to charity, deep inside in their hearts they are rotten in the inside, and people just don’t know that part. There is a word for this and it is a façade. The definition for façade is an outward appearance to hide a less pleasant personality or something not wanted to be showed to the public. For example a person can look skinny, and fragile, but that could just be their façade. When they could actually wipe the floor with you in less than in a minute! This is because skinny, and fragile is just what others want you to see. Even in the wild some animals have this to fool predators that want to eat them such as the mantis shrimp who looks small but with just one, one punch destroys one whole aquarium display!
Before I had said how some of the only people who would know how other people are in the inside are people who study others very closely or if they are a psychic. Well the most are those who study others because it is rare to find someone who is a psychic, unless they dress differently than the typical stereotypical psychic would. The same goes for those who study others. Mostly when people think of those who study others they automatically think of ancient times when people battled with swords, shields, spears, close combat, and bow and arrows in which they have to study their opponents to survive in the battlefield. But hey those could be the kids who look skinny, and fragile.
If you have not figured the one of my two personal philosophies that I live by, and two words that go with my personal philosophy. If you give up like how I would than I will tell you myself, my personal philosophy is don’t judge a book by its cover. The two words that go with my personal philosophy are façade, and stereotypes. These words go with my personal philosophy because these two words help you to not judge a book by its cover. The reason why I choose to write about this is because too many people around the world are being judged based on looks, religion, culture/heritage, and social status before even being known by other people.
