Stone pillows

When hope

resurrects like

vapor traces

smoking upon

water the slightest

defect effaces

these wisps

with the dawn.

But when

dreams

are built on

impervious granite

just try to

scratch or

erase them

for flint cannot.

Choose then

fitful sleep

on stone pillows

or wake forlorn

to projects

dreamt of

but always

stillborn.
