Thank You, Mr. Trump

I have given

to the undeserved

to the survivor

to the one that stumbled

until I have nothing left

until doubt overtook

until I repented

but

I have that kind of face

the face that signals

“untrustworthy.”

My efforts

though altruistic

though not self-seeking

though rewarding

though refreshing

mean nothing

to the one at the door.
