Hope’s Song
My eyes infused with dark, hiding the light, My skin thick and callused, nothing can penetrate, My hands bound together with sharp chain links rendering them useless, and my feet freely wonder directionless. With every step I feel vibrations of crunching bones below my feet each one more satisfying than the last. With every drop of blood the chain grows stronger, rigid, and tight around my rists. It's like a poisonous viper who has stricken its pray just waiting for it to give up. With every loving touch there's confusion, and With every sun there is only a moon. In the distance I hear the sounds of a guitar and a voice. The guitar hitting each specific string as if they were to complement each other and at the right time making them all come together into one. creating a sound that's only goal was to lift up the one who was playing it. The Voice singing a song so beautiful even rocks and trees were crying out HIS name Yahweh! Yahweh! Through You all are made new! This name I was familiar with but did not know. I started to mumbl along but within seconds the chains slithered up my neck and created a collar that tightened. It kept me from making any noise. It whispered softly no cries for help. My soul wanting it, I screamed out fighting with my last remaining hope. The moon turned a dark red and started to beat melodically. With every measure it cracked as if there was a crust surrounding a center. It burst open and from it a river of blood came washing over me and anything that accepted HIS song. Trees blossomed, the trail of trampled bones washed away, and the chains broke for I was no longer thier slave but a willing servant to the one who's blood washed over me. The moon was gone there was no more darkness, and the song that I once could only mumble resonated within my soul and played out for all to hear for eternity.

Happiness, something lost in the translation of culture, a counterfeit of joy. The things We think we need, that we need, that we need and the things we want, that we want, that we know we want, In the now, will fill briefly, never full, never whole. Ultimately decomposing and taking a part of yourself along with it. Leaving only a determined hunger and a larger void to be stuck in...There's only one who will outlast the test of time and who can make whole be whole, only one to put your broken pieces back together more perfect than before. HE is TRUTH in darkness, HE is LOVE through any pain. He is beyond your idea of happiness. He is joy!
