Smile As We’re Crazy
Hope is a mad man's dream
Helplessly wild, seizing the day
Hope is our addiction
It puts smiles on laughable cruelties
Grins on life's offerings
Hope isn't acquired but forged
In relationships, and growing adolescence
Stronger with stupidity
Hope is humanities bonds
A kink in our prison walls
Deformed invincibility
Love is hoping for peace
Combining the insanity of beating drums
Absolute chaos in spectrums of infinite soul
Wars fought over the most devastating delusional petty
Summed up in small, potent bursts of desire
We can only lift what can't encumber the mind
Only a mad man is crazy enough to try
“REBIRTH” CHAPTER I: “A NEW WORLD”
The life we must leave behind has a cost attached to it, no matter how simple it may seem to move on.
As we approach this wondrous, new world, it's easy to say we can make a difference this time. Hermann & I had several discussions about what we'd wish to pursue while away from the old country. Will it bring great reward? Perhaps; however, as I descend deeper into the core values, it's all about sacrifice.
I quench my breath for a better life as I anxiously await our destiny ahead of us.
My Mother always reminded me of fonder moments throughout my life that "If you're willing to move forward, you must learn how to retrace your steps."
Her words rung through my mind like a bell without an end.
The rythmatic tone she carried took me further away from my fears and insecurities, instilled hope within my mind, and brought peace to my heart.
Time and Memories
Need to leave a memory behind
fear of the inevitable
fear of doom and failure
Need to be remembered
need to leave a legacy
so easily forgetting
the true meaning of life
live in the moment
make the most
of what you have left
a ticking clock
seconds passing
hours passing
keep pressing forward
don’t know quite what you’re looking for
don’t know what’s on the other end
sitting in the dark
sitting in the silence
contemplating
stopping to think
you hope something will hit you
but nothing ever does
tick tick
old grandfather clock
calls out the passing hours
you lose track
stuck in your own head
Need to leave a memory behind
fear of the inevitable
fear of doom and failure
Need to be remembered
need to leave a legacy
so easily forgetting
the true meaning of life
