Wicca What?
Amara was on her way to work, walking the same route she took everyday. The benefits of living three blocks from her job. It was more of a hobby that she got paid for, not everyone would think being a librarian was an exciting or thrilling job - however Amara would disagree. She loved being surrounded by books nearly every day. She loved the smell of ink and paper, even the sound of fingers hitting keyboards when she passed the computer section where people where looking for work, watching youtube or tic-toc clips - maybe even scrolling through social media.
Amara found people fascinating, besides having the best job in the world - she loved to people watch and try to figure out their story or just make things up in her head. As a child she was told that she had an over active imagination, that hasn't changed into adulthood.
Amara was approaching the large brick building that housed thousands of books that she got to visit and recommend to people of all ages everyday when something caught the corner of her eye of to the left. Amara had to do a double take, just to make sure it wasn't a trick of the light or the heat of this warm summers morning on the Sunny Coast wasn't getting to her. Her feet started moving into the direction of the ally where the sight had caught her attention.
Amara stopped several feet back from the warm glow emitting from the white washed brick wall. She could feel the soft heat coming from it
"What the ...?" escaped her lips.
Amara lifted a hand to her right check and slapped herself across the face.
"Ouch, yep. Felt that," she muttered to herself. Amara was just making sure she wasn't having a weird dream. She had been visiting the sci-fi section in the library a lot of the last couple of weeks since it was still school break and she had been talking to a lot of young teens about the latest sci-fi release.
Amara didn't really know what to do in this situation. She needed to know that she wasn't going insane, so she quickly dashed out of the ally and headed into her place of work. She knew the Library wasn't due to open for another thirty minutes yet. She rushed into the staff room and saw her co-working at the coffee maker getting her morning caffeine jolt.
"Helga!! Come with me now," she demanded, grabbing the older woman by the arm mid pour. The milk bottle dropping to the ground and coffee mug slipping from Tessa's hand, shattering all over the ground.
"Amara!!!" the older woman growled.
"Sorry," the hyperactive brunette apologize has she pulled the older woman through the library with her and out the door.

"You ruined my morning coffee to come and stare at a brick wall?" Helga questioned with annoyance evident in her tone.
"You don't see that? Feel it?" Amara asked, starting to doubt herself.
Helga turned to face the twenty two year old. "See what?"
"The glow?" the words slipped from her lips before she could pull them back. She heard how it sounded, but how else was she going to explain it.
Helga placed a hand on the girls shoulder. "Dear, I think you need to spend more time away from books and more time in the real world. Come inside and clean up the mess you made. We open in twenty five minutes and I need coffee!"
The older woman spun around and marched back towards the staff entrance.
Amara was still looking at the wall, the glow was getting bigger and the warping sound louder. How did Helga not see it? Was she going mad? Amara released a sign and turned to walk away when a jacket covered arm reached out of the glow through the wall and grabbed her by the arm and pulled her in. A squeal left her lips as she was pulled through the glow.
