I sigh, sipping Coke from the straw, watching people pass by the restaurant. I already finished my food a long while ago and the restaurant isn't that busy as before. I'm facing the window so I can watch the busy streets. It's my favourite thing to do, sit somewhere and just watch the people going through their day to day lives. My friends think it's rather strange that I do this, quite often, I do admit but I remember my professor once talking about Buddha and said that before becoming "the enlightened one" he would sit and stare at the area around him, wondering why things worked the way they did, that kinda just stuck with me, I like to watch people and how they dress, how they walk, their posture, how they speak because I feel it's intriguing, guess you could call me an observant person. In this day and age, people scurry to finish things, without stopping to just.... Look. Observe. Life just seems more interesting once you stop to look. Often times I find myself staring at the wall, observing the cracks and holes (if any) and wonder- "How did that happen?" And end up creating various scenarios in my head.
People need to realise that life isn't boring- you're just not stopping to notice the little things, try it some time.
I finally get out of my trance and stand up to walk towards the exit.
