Good Afternoon Fellow Writers & Readers;

As you may have noticed (or will soon notice) the Prose web app has undergone a bit of a cosmetic update. Hopefully nothing will be too jarring. Our goal with this update, along with the obligatory under-the-hood performance enhancements, was to simplify. We wanted to simplify the user interface of the website, make navigation easier and more intuitive, and apply a more consistent design language across the entire site. Further, we wanted to make better use of space, both for desktop and mobile users.

Like any software update, this one will likely give rise to a bug or two. Please let us know if you encounter any bugs by commenting on this post, tagging us in comments, or shooting us an email. We hope you enjoy the update, and find the whole Prose experience just a little bit fresher.

Diamond dew earrings

dressed up for morning.

I simply can't do without

A burst of light into my soul

A gentle dance on my tongue

All within a little cup

It’s warm.

Too warm.

A warmth that is radiating from inside me.

It spreads from hips to ribs,

up my back,

and to my face.

My nerve endings rise up to full attention.

My mouth, too wet.

My brain, buzzing.

My heart, speeding.

And everything,

summer-sun warm.

Achingly

warm.

It’s funny how one day

she hums along to her CD,

and the next struggles to keep tears at bay

and cries at the same church key.

How he cringes

at a love song,

but then his heart unhinges

when he’s found someone to sing along.

Or how they danced

to that song on their night,

but by circumstance

shut off the radio with fright.

But also how they can find

freedom in keys and strings

playing pennies and dimes

on the road like kings.

How he does not feel

alone in the crowd

with that rock concert heal,

loud and endowed.

Or how she creates,

flowers and grows,

as beats resonate

silencing shadows.
