Your best friend of two years (you met when you started highschool) turns out to be runaway royalty from a very different and distant human civilization... on another planet. They were joining you and your family on a private tour of an ancient castle when the royal guard, including the overarching monarch of the planet, find him. Causing a ruckus, and knowing they were more powerful, the old-fashioned, nearly psycho, monarch takes the castle as their Embassy and declares your mother the Queen/Ambassador of Earth. As a peace offering, and a punishment to their runaway child, they declare a treaty, symbolized by the union of marriage between you and your alien bestfriend, which will be celebrated alongside a banquet including nearly every world leader... and your once middle-class family. Everything is happening so quickly- you haven't left the castle in days, you've become a symbol of resistance as the media makes you a martyr and fights for your freedom, and you have to get married and you might have to leave Earth and on top of all that your wedding gear is a lot havier and harder to manage than you thought it might be and- And take it from here!

This is really important to me. This time last year I had the worst panic attack of my life. I'd sat on the edge of the sea and thought, "I failed you. You gave me everything and I did nothing to protect you." It devolved quickly into nearly six hours of sobbing, hyperventilating, and pure panic. After that, I started picking up trash, for hours on end. I didn't eat meat, I didn't buy clothes, I didn't drive cars.... A lot of the anxiety died down and while I still occasionally pick up trash, I now eat meat and I'll get in a car if need be. But the feeling that I could do more, and the feeling of fear is still wrought in every thought. So this challenge is part of an art project I'm doing to sort of communicate these thoughts- thoughts I know are shared by so many people.
