People ask me why I’m so quiet;

Sometimes it’s seen as being defiant.

I simply seek peace in the silence.

It is the only way I can achieve balance.

I don’t waste my breath on irrelevance.

My words aren't always necessary

When you can see them in my expression.

I can hear better when I don’t speak.

It allows me to process, allows me to think

And opens me up to others with thoughts unique.
