A Gift
Love is all-consuming. It's all pounding hearts, sweat coating skin, and the constant urge to cry because they aren't in your sight. It comes from the deepest part of you that you never believed existed until the sun hits their eyes and you see the true colors of their iris's-the true emotions they feel. It's terrfying because your throat closes up, and your hands shake, and your muscles clench, and you feel this need to be beside them and just spend hours watching them. You become terrified because this one person, this one in 7 billion people, has you so enraptured that everyone else is merely a grain of sand.
It is never the same each day. You can love them so much you hate them for making you think about them before yourself. You can guess their words before they say it, their thoughts before they think it. You can understand them so well that you lose your sense of individuality because you have become one with them. Their looks and smell are barely important; their smiles and expressions are what become your entire world.
If you experience the pounding heart, the sweat, the muscle twitches, the closing of your throat, at the simple thought of them-you are in love and it is the most relaxing and stressful things, but it is a gift.
