My Buttercup
I'm not a poet.
I'm not one for fancy words, or elegant sentances.
I'm not one for rhyme-scheme, or syntax.
I'm not one for hollow words, or false promises.
And to be perfectly honest, most poetry has left me asleep in class.
But you are a poet.
And I love you.
So I love poetry, as I love you.
Your poetry is a part of you, a reflection of you in your mirror of Prose.
And it is as beautiful as you.
And I truly believe that.
So while poetry may not be my playground,
For I am not a poet,
I am, in fact, yours.
