The most brave
Strength and height,
Power and might,
Day and night,
Fight or flight.
The strength to stand up for yourself,
To keep yourself up in good health,
To be recognized,
To claim a prize,
To be seen as strong,
In other's eyes.
But it isn't just the strong and tough,
It has to do with other stuff.
To stand on stage,
To read your page,
As hundreds of eyes,
look upon your face.
To be brave and take your place,
To rightfully, claim your space,
Some changes can be made,
You might make them,
If you're brave.
Just work hard,
For all your days,
Become your best self,
Be in your best place,
Work towards your best,
Be the most brave!
Winter in a word
Death. I think death captures winter perfectly. With autumn as its harbinger, winter is a sweeping wave of death, killing trees, bushes, and anything else that dares opposes it. Waves of cold, striking down any and all who look it in the eye. They say it was exposure, but it is the winter, cutting you down for thinking you can resist it. Winter is primordial, and it is death, since the beginning, and all the way to the end of everything.
