Friendship,

is something i've always struggled with.

I've never really been quite the right fit.

Moving from group to group,

taking different skins.

i wandered until i was lost,

all on my own,

and thats when they found me,

the people i would call home.

They scooped me up,

and bundled me tight,

poured gold in my wounds,

so i was shiny, new and bright.

I found my own skin,

began to fit more and more,

as they helped me see,

who i really was at my core.

i will always be grateful,

for this family,

we grow and we share,

from near and afar,

I now know, who my real friends are.
