Hello, are you there? Can you hear me?

Are you dead or someplace else?

It's awfully cold on the Internet

Standing idle and invisible. A battery recharging.

I might come back to talk another day.

If you haven't returned, I might forget you.

I hate it that we all have somewhere to go.

I took one to the mountains,

Another to the park;

one to my favorite graveyard,

to make out in the dark.

I drove us to the city,

went to explore the town

Just wanted ya to smile 

Out of that sad sad frown

I took one to an asylum,

abandon, till we broke in;

Drove one to the shores

And showed ya how to sin,

I made a story out of smoke

When racing late at night

Took one to mid-day malls

purses heavy and eyes light

But...

I want someone to take me

on their own hearts adventure

and for a while, that was you.

But now you've left. You've gone.

And I can't find someone else to -

Barefoot in an alley

Sipping bourbon from

a styrofoam cup

I remember the days

when dreams used to visit me

in the night instead of the

nightmares that were his hands

Love and sorrow brought me here

Now the silence rings in my ears

like the detonation of a bomb

I followed the glow of

the cheshire moon and

saw his face in a puddle

that smelled like piss

Head to the night sky

Knees on the ground

Hands in the air

giving up to your god

Daydreaming of

a better tomorrow

while muriatic tears burn my skin

Reminding me that this is

no nightmare
