What's your favorite mythological creature, and why? Fiction or nonfiction, poetry or prose.

This one's simple: Write something that gives me chills, with a spooky twist or eerie atmosphere.

A bunch of random concepts came to my head and I didn't know what to write with them. So now they're your prompts! Write anything, just include a metaphor about one of these things(Or combine them, if you feel so inclined). Several religions have a concept of an afterlife, a place where all the good, believing, righteous souls spend eternity in paradise. What do you think paradise would be like? How does it work? Your character is a writer struggling to find inspiration. Write their attempts to find that creative spark. Feel free to make this as meta as possible!
