Whispers
Open your eyes
You're stuck inside your head
It's screaming at you
Saying you'd be better dead
Telling you there's no point in trying
That you should kill yourself instead.
Staring at the lack of light
Inside your mind steals all delight
Away from you, leaves no insight
Into the thing that is your plight;
The monster that says that it's alright
To go and take away your life.
Open your eyes.
You've been stuck inside your head
It was lying to you.
It said you'd be better dead.
Told you there's no reason to try
Said to kill yourself instead.
But the reason to try,
Is something you will find,
Happiness awaits,
But first you must leave your mind
Reflection
When the day is done,
I've close my eyes and have resigned
the troubles of my life,
I look into the mirror inside my mind
And see around my heart
dark and light entwined.
Round my neck
The cold chains of death
Draw tighter evermore,
Straining to release my breath
And let me inhale nevermore.
My hands are stained with the Blood of my innocence
Mind and heart torn apart,
A violent dissonance
No unity, they won't agree on what to be, giving me,
Confidence in my incompetence.
Never before was a mirror so true,
That's what's inside of me,
Now what's inside of you?
Sidecar
My soul has a sidecar
But lacks a passenger
That's adventurous and daring;
Life's marvelous challenger.
Though the sidecar's pretty nice,
What's even better are the sights
That you and me would go and see
On those amazing star filled nights.
We'll drive for miles and miles
And have adventures galore.
We'd see all there is to be seen
And discover even more
Though we'll hit bumps and holes and such,
Maybe even pop a tire,
We'll fix it up and drive on through
Because we'll have what we desire.
And when our gas has all run out
And the engine's all but died
It will be alright, we won't fright
Because we'll be by each other's side.
