What is mindfulness?
We mistakenly think:
People are, as we are.
They will treat us, as we treat them.
It’s an automatic confirmation.
We don’t “think” before thinking it.
This is the funniest thing in the world:
in every other human relationship, we are, all in all, by ourselves.
It’s again an automatic thought.
“You are with someone else is nothing but an illusion.”
When you are with “the one,” then
you are with yourself.
With your ‘idea’ of her/him.
And your ‘feelings’ of her/him.
And the ‘illusion’ of her/him.
When you are with your “mother,” even then, you are with yourself.
You are with your idea of who your mother is.
Its a mere idea.
“Do you even know - who, what, how, your mother truly is?”
It’s all automatic. You don’t control it.
But YOU CAN.
And you should control it.
This is what mindfulness is about: transcendence from this illusion—yourself.
Controlling your reality: by feeling it,
truly being in it, and getting rid of the automatic illusion.
