Not The Way I Did
She never appreciated him.
Not the way i did.
She never so much as glanced
at him
unless she had to.
But i was always there.
watching in the shadows,
waiting,
wondering.
wondering how someone could go to
such lengths to show their
love to someone,
knowing that their efforts
fall on blind eyes.
But i still love him
as he still loves her,
while she stills love that which
will never love her.
little kisses on the cheek
from a playful boy
to a girl that's meek.
they were happy
and played in the creek
they went for a swim
in the small little stream.
but he didn't know
that she couldn't swim.
he grabbed her hand
and pulled her in.
she started to scream,
started to drown.
but they were far in the forest
with nobody around.
he tried his best
to save her in time.
but it wasn't enough
and she lost her life.
\that was the last time
he saw his true love.
and the pain of her death
was never enough.
