To Those That Wonder
To those that wonder
I say to you,
Words sting and burn
They rip and tear,
They eat at your brain,
Slowly ripping at it,
Slowly tearing off chunks and tossing them away,
They destroy your self-esteem,
To those that wonder
Everything you say out of spite
Those that hear it always remember,
Even when you do not.
Evil words are never forgotten,
They sit in your mind stewing,
Then when they finally come to a boil
Rash actions are taken,
Ones that can never ever be taken back
To those that wonder,
Words are to be blamed for all our strife,
Words carry power they are said with,
I say to you think before speaking
Words speak louder than actions
The right words can make all the difference
You alone can change what you say
You alone cam also ignore this call
You alone can continue to speak these words
To let them destroy someone,
Let peoples own minds betray them
Think thoughts of darkness,
Thoughts of evil and malice
Destructive thoughts that divide us,
Separate us and make us feel as if we are not human
But, we are human
We are not freaks or monsters
We are human in the fullest sense of the word
We are kind, we are loving
To those that wonder
I say to you
Stop wondering and start acting
Alone
Foraging through this frozen wasteland
Meandering through icy snow
My fingertips numb
Clenched around the frozen harness
Steamy breath emits from the dogs mouths
Their fur caked with ice
It crackles with every stride
The relentless wind deafens me
I stand in my sled unmoving
It's all I can do to hold on
Cold consumes my entire being
I concentrate on getting warm again,
But this only makes the colds nibble turn to a bite
A midnight sun rides through the heavens
On its own dog sled
Pulled by the invisible stars
Too numb to stop for the night I ride on
Along through this desert of snow and ice
Ice numbs my cheeks
Snot dribbles out of my nose
Then is quickly frozen
In the distance I see a small stack
A thin wisp of smoke curls out the chimney
The only sign of life
In this desolate terrain
Soon I stop in front of the small shack
Smoke no longer emits from the chimney
I knock
There is no answer
I open the door
Only to discover
I'm still alone
Trapped
Staring into the sky
Lost in a dream
Lost in the blue ocean
Surrounded by leviathans of the deep
No one to talk to
No one to listen to
Screaming to be heard
The only answer is the whisper of the wind
No consul in the wind
The only answers are in your mind
Unable to be reached
An impenetrable lock
An unattainable key
The harder you push
The more resistance pushed back
Trapped forever
Love is Death
I once was in love
My world grew ever brighter
Joy and happiness triumphed
Black slowly tinged the bright times
Lies and betrayal tainted the light
Words of hatred and distaste
Darkness and pain now triumphs
What was once love is now hate
A once tightly coiled connection
Has now hastily unraveled
Selfishness Greed Want
Destroyed happiness
To love truly and faithfully
One must be inhuman
A Summer Dream
It starts with a walk
Then a pause in a dark wood
A glance to the trees
Sadly stuck to the ground
Wishing to be on top
Wishing to see the bright blue sky
To see the light of day
Dark gloom becomes denser
A panic sets in
Only to be soothed by the chirps of crickets
Listening closer, the trickle of a creek
A searching eye finds what it's looking for
An attentive ear hears what it's looking for
The flickering movement
And the crackle of a bonfire
It was a nightmare,
But now only a summer dream
