Epic love
That epic kind of love
The kind you want to run from
Because the thought of losing it
Surely will be the end of worlds
Can you dare to dream
To imagine having bliss
Can the past's nightmares
Be forgotten, be forgiven
It's to big to be denied
Just take the jump
And live this crazy love
That comes once in a life
Ebb & Flow
The natural ebb and flow of life
People coming in
People going out
Doors opening
Doors closing
Shifts and changes are all around us
The Cycles of life
Sweet and bitter transitions
The unique way the universe
Forces on us the insights to ourselves
Through it all
Always remember to have
Self compassion
Seek the one who knows how to ride
With the flow of your tide
Seek the paths that speak to your soul
And without a doubt
It's the path your meant to follow
Be gentle with yourself
Self love
Will see you through
These Ebbs and flows of life
Single
Often I find myself fixating on pictures of couples,
Wondering when it will be my turn,
Pondering over what God has in store for me,
If anything at all,
And I stop for a moment to look in a mirror,
Maybe my nose is too big,
Maybe my face isn't symmetrical enough,
Maybe I'm too clingy,
Maybe I'm not clingy enough,
Maybe there are just too many things wrong with me,
And though I try not to think like that,
Sometimes it's the only thing I can do,
Because being surrounded by love makes you feel unloved,
It makes you feel lonely and uncared for,
But worst of all, it makes you unsure of yourself,
When truly there is no reason to be.
Never Admit It!
Eenie, Meeny Miney Moe,
Esmeralda is a hoe.
She likes to holler,
let her go,
Give her money,
let her hide.
Don’t ever let her
come inside -
common sense
true and tried .
Open your door,
kick her outside.
Don’t tell your wife,
she won’t abide -
say it’s not true
everyone lied,
if you want to
keep your bride!
in the gardens
in the gardens
among splotches of white downy flowers
i met him once...
bewitching me with oval green- no
with lucent kiwi colored eyes, brandishing
sunbaked skin and shortish coarse russet hair.
as i dither dewy-eyed, inhaling
deeply his woody scent making
my flesh glisten; creating an appetency
enervating my core.
brazenly, his arm encircles me,
on a gasp, his lips brush mine
testing, tongue probing-
his taste explodes in my mouth
-lingering of a ripe gooseberry.
lashes latch kiwi eyes - i stare
at specks of black seedlings littering his teeth
skewing the enchantment.
blushing and feeling nonplus, i disentangle
and backpedal from his stratagem.
