Raining blood

Today is a normal day

The clouds are grey

Screams fill the air

And people are dying

War is not a fun game

But everyone still plays it

Everyone is afraid

Scared

Running

Children hold their mothers tight

The war sick;

They are killing everything that moves

It’s a normal day.

As usual,

⤜It’s rainning blood again⤛

here’s you warning, darling: the raining blood will be your ending

words have power, they sting; so darling, i hope mine bite and bruise

you until you've felt broken enough too. 'cause i've been feeding my demons

through the endless heights you've put me through; in the hollow coldness

of midnight, where the chimes sing their cruel tune. so never mention

my name again, you lost that privilege the day you tripped me into

all the hell you put me through. so let the blood rain, in drops that splatter

endlessly, in the form of words i cried sorrowfully back when you hurt me,

leaving a karmatic unveiling of you. and my demons will follow the stars

swiftly, the rust of unbecoming knowings sparkling their eyes, the shells tapping

together softly, is the sound of their melody. yes, it'll start when the clouds

are dripping crimson; you've been warned darling, but that doesn't mean

you don't deserve it from all my hurting.

cut ties

it's

raining

blood,

yet

it's

somehow

beautiful.

i've

lost

everything,

but

that

means

i'm

finally

free.

The Monster’s Inside

"It's raining blood," I say

Why don't you believe me?

I want to run from you, far away

Please don't leave me

I don't want to be here another day

Stop disregarding my feelings

Let's take a drive on the freeway

Anywhere else but here

"It's raining blood!" I scream

I'm telling the truth, I swear

Hazel eyes reflect crimson and gleam

Why aren't you running from them?

You tell me I'm being extreme

Can't you see the blood in the water?

"It's raining blood," I sob, continuing the argument

There's red writing on the wall

I convince myself it's a lapse in judgement

Up until the knife is in your hands

I try to believe it's just your ailment

Up until gray cement bleeds ruby

They Call You a Hero

They call you a hero as you walk away

trauma swirling around like formidable clouds

They call you a hero as you turn your backs on them

They call you a hero even when

your hands are stained crimson

the people you've killed could fill up a whole cemetery

you've taken away the husbands of fearful wives

sons of grieving mothers

fathers of hopeful little children

brothers of lost siblings

but they call you a hero

and say it was either them or you

that you did the right thing

all for a war that you didn't even want to fight

for a country that you don't even know if you can call home

and you're a hero

killing the soldiers on the other side

because the lines start to blur between human and enemy

and you still pulled the trigger

so you stagger away, a hero they say

as your formidable clouds start to rain

it's raining blood

Divine Drink?

I held out my tongue and tasted metal

The drops on my face stung like a nettle

I opened my eyes and saw a splash of red

Were the clouds up in the sky filled with the dead?

I looked up and it was raining blood

I glanced back down at Martian mud

The grass was filled with an iron stench

I felt like a soldier trapped in a trench

One more time, I dared to see

what the cause of such bloodshed above me could be

There, up in the heavens, the Son of God lay

trying to clean up his spilt wine in dismay
