Ride Beyond Forever
Such are the days,
When lovers love,
Enveloping two souls into one,
Entwining twin heartbeats as one,
Tantalizing each other with life’s moments.
Willingly, wantonly, willfully,
Hoping the moment carries over to decades,
Incessant with the idea of beyond forever,
Suppressing nothing, urging for everything,
Praying for that singular moment in time,
Envisioning more than just a love for all time,
Rather a love beyond the reach of infinity,
Surpassing all before us, I give my life for your happiness.
***************
This is the same poem, only in reverse order.
Surpassing all before us, I give my life for your happiness.
Rather a love beyond the reach of infinity,
Envisioning more than just a love for all time,
Praying for that singular moment in time,
Suppressing nothing, urging for everything,
Incessant with the idea of beyond forever,
Hoping the moment carries over to decades,
Willingly, wantonly, willfully,
Tantalizing each other with life’s moments,
Entwining twin heartbeats as one,
Enveloping two souls into one,
When lovers love;
Such are the days.
just as sweet
sweet
like the dark of the souls
that draw me in as
sweet
dreams i whisper through
clenched teeth but
sweet
eyes cut into me with
their blinding glare and
sweet
blinks slowly fading
into hazy half-lidded
sweet
lashes curled on rosy
cheeks quiet and just as
sweet
as the day we first stumbled
across each other on that
sweet
road winding and broken
and cracked with bruises
sweet
like candies on my skin
and hiding under my
sweet
smile that i gifted just
as free as any of your
sweet
meaningless words only
meant to rip my heart into
sweet
shards to fall and tumble
across the sky just like
sweet
whispers scattered as far
as stars on a cloudless night
Believer
I feel warm as you pull me closer to you,
Your arms wrapped around my waist
And held me tight.
You smell like almond and vanilla,
Comforting and calming.
All I want is you.
I crave your body near to me,
And long for your kisses against my skin,
Like melted chocolate on my lips.
It creates a million butterflies
That I can’t seem to swallow.
You tell me in sweet whispers
That I made you believe in love again,
And the words that leave my mouth are always true.
“And I believe in you.”
We’re both trying to get through this darkness,
Looking at each other as if we were ships in the night,
Trying to avoid the rocky shore.
You make me a believer
in love.
Doux Chuchotements
Fingers begin to slowly move around the left side of her face—
She twitches, eyes squeezed tightly in irritation-
‘Ah!’ She exclaims. Then smiles as she hears the voice in a hushed tone.
A voice that reminds her of the taste of honey, a golden syrup like sound. Huh, this voice she’s heard before.
She gradually makes her way out of bed.
Again, the voice speaks in a hushed tone. She can not stop herself from taking hold of a blade.
The blade is in one hand which nearly reaches her chest. Another voice cries out like an explosion, telling her to stop what she’s about to do.
Her hands tremble. She lets the blade drop to the floor with a clang.
Tears stream down her face. It’s not easy for her to shut out the voices. She would have to try to do so, & harder next time.
