I Just Wanted Examples

I grew up before kid's LGBT representation really kicked off from what I understand, so I was hoping I'd see more posts on this Challenge so I could learn some. Since there's no entries yet though I'm gonna just post something for the hopes of visibility.

Nowadays I know kids have shows like Stephen's Universe, The Owl House, Legend of Korra, the re-boot She-Ra (mine from the 80's was just a trumped up toy commercial), Kipo & The Age of the Wonderbeasts, and so many other cartoons that might not have LGBT main characters but still sneak in a pair of mothers/fathers or a few side LGBT characters at least for diversity's sake. When I grew up the latter might have passed censorship, but only if nothing "overt" was shown. My own mom would probably have questioned showing it to us, and she's not really intolerant just raised in an older generation.

Yet we see heterosexual relationships in young kids shows all the time. Disney has an entire romance monopoly for little princesses, for example; you can keep it PG and still show romance. I'm glad show execs are starting to recognize either the hypocrisy of only showing the straight stuff, or the reality that showing queer love doesn't "turn kids gay" either. Instead, as far as I can tell, it's just made it easier to teach tolerance and acceptance to a younger generation.
