luminous flutters of the core
kindness in the simple touch
a warm embrace of a thought
blissful moments within sunsets
that moonlit smile
this ( hear softness ) and so much more
makes me want to rest
in the ocean of your soul
in the soft waves of your eyes
your heart is my guidance
that voice a steady shore
so beautiful is the love that beats in your cells
pulsating ( boom - boom )
pulsating ( boom - boom )
( boom - boom - boom )
expanding collisions of crimson stars
such a magnitude
in this gentle
ocean
soul
.
heaven is a place on earth
heaven? what’s that
in this economy?
remind my lungs to pace themselves
we are on a wild ride for tax returns and paystubs
let’s all go back to the glorious summers
when sucking on peach pits
hot juice trickling down the lips
sang songs that touched every part of us
we could all be so happy!
if only we could make the decision to see
a sky so high we don’t need to buy
it off the city streets
is there a conclusion in poetry?
in life, your gaping face is wide open
redundant as always, the mouth sucks in
oxygen that will continue to stun your immune system
you can lick my words off these pages
but you can’t make a heaven
out of the worlds I can fathom
there’s gotta be more in your repertoire than
looking to the sky above
relying on a fable
for the happiness
you can’t remember anyway
The sky...?
Heaven on a page?
I can give you...War.
I can give you, vivacious violets viciously dancing across the sky in ritual formation only to be met with radical reds revealing themselves like fires and spreading.
I can can give you, yowling yellow yearning for a space to thrive between the ornate overzealous orange and ruthless red rascals, while none notice the bustling blue blazing in from behind to put an end to the chaos.
I can give you, darkness and serene atmosphere until the next war graces the skies when the colors once again fight for territory that belongs to no one.
