Horn of plenty, meant for many
A November to Remember!
Yes, I see your silly simper.
Get your tummies really limber.
You’ve a bird to help dismember.
No illusion, this profusion,
though it seems a clear delusion.
Tryptophan adds to obtusion
on this buffet of confusion.
One objection: predilection
For a bird that met rejection
and quite possibly injection?
I’ll skip to pumpkin confection!
A decade of November’s
November 2010: Still in school, we watched the fireworks from our backyard, standing on wooden chairs so we could see better, we were so short lol
November 2011: I realised I'd found my best friend, we watched the fireworks in the park, our first outing together, young and clueless but at least we were fun
november 2012: I had the most fun, did parodies to songs I liked, studied and perused my dreams, got closer to God, potenrial still to be realised, fireworks lighting up the night sky
November 2013: discovered I still had feelings for someone I thought I'd buried deep inside the black hole of my past, reconnected with old friends only to be seperated again, didn't watch the fireworks that year....
November 2014: the worst one yet, alone, away from everything and everyone I knew and loved, fireworks a distant memory.
November 2015: my welcome return to my loved ones, to my God and to fireworks.
November 2016: laid low, took a break from the rollercoaster but never from guy forks night :)
November 2017: Started a writers course and vollenteared to help at my Church's youth group, happy and content, the best I'd felt for a while eccompanied by the anual explosion of colours, a loud night rainbow, God getting creative.
November 2018: univentful, I'm pretty sure the fireworks weren't that great that year either lol
November 2019: joining a theatre group, my dreams rekindled, making new friends, experiencing more fireworks.
November 2020: unknown, uncertain, corona virus clouding everything including the fireworks, but regardless of what November holds God is always in control :) ❤️
