Operation Victim Rescue: First Stop!
The Pirate, Rick, and Cerissa stood outside a house in an affluent neighborhood. The crew's mission was to send Glicko's victims that Cerissa had originally put in a deep sleep to the Reflection Dimension, as this would cure their mutations. Their first visit would likely be the toughest one, as they were visiting the spouse of a felon. The felon was serving a life sentence for murder, and he was currently asleep in a hospital prison. The felon's spouse believed her husband was an innocent man that was framed for his crime.
Cerissa knocked on the door, and a beautiful woman in her mid 30s answered. She scowled, but her eyes also reflected a glimmer of hope at seeing the mage.
"It's you, the witch that put my husband in a deep sleep!" The woman cried out. "Have you found a cure to his monster illness? And who is with you?"
"Hello Kari." Cerissa greeted. "This is The Pirate and Rick, and thanks to them we do have a cure. We received permission from the authorities to use our method, but we want to explain the risks to you first."
"Risks?" Kari asked. "What could be worse than my husband being asleep forever?"
"The cure involves sending your husband to a place called the Reflection Dimension, a place created by a hero named Hugh." Cerissa explained. "The Pirate confirmed that this place will remove the curse. However, if your husband truly committed the crime he is imprisoned for, and does not vow to change his ways, he will be trapped in the Reflection Dimension."
Cerissa tried to be as gentle as possible with her words, but there was no avoiding the harshness of the situation. Kari scowled again before responding.
"My husband is a kind, innocent man that did nothing wrong!" Kari said bitterly. "Once you send him to this other world, he will return as my wonderful, loving, innocent husband. You'll see!"

It’s On
So you want to make a bet you say. Well here's my bet. A few months back I had the brilliant idea of creating a story about someone stranded on a remote island getting eaten by giant crabs. It was going to a classic survival tale. Man crashes plane. Man wakes up from the wreak injured but alive with the waves washing at his feet. Man sees giant claws prodding at his mangled legs. Man battles the beasts with all his strength, winning and cooking his opponents for in a great victory feast. Man realizes the smell of roast crabs only attracts more crabs and ends of getting eaten anyways. A story of surmounting the odds of mother nature only to die in one of the most embarrassing and strange ways possible. I'm going to write this story and try to have it win in a contest within a year from when this post was made. If I win, I get nothing. If I lose, I have to post a challenge here on Prose with a fifty dollar prize. Fifty dollars may not seem like a lot, but it's enough to get by ass in gear. Thanks for giving me a place to post my goal and wish me luck.
