Challenge
surrounded, but still alone
Feeling Alone
Surrounded,
But still alone
That’s what I used to love
The people were milling around me
Chattering, and crowding the space
Whilst I just sat there in silence
I saw them, felt them, loved them
I was the observer
Not participant
It used to be fun,
But now, I feel the pain
Of missing someone
I need you, cause
I'm surrounded,
Feeling alone

Challenge
surrounded, but still alone
on the outside
sitting on the walls
bricks stacked haphazardly
leading to the sidewalk below
people walking running rushing
never looking up
they have somewhere to go
a purpose perhaps
they are not
composed of paper
with nothing inside
the glass on the windows in the distance
fragile little houses
it should all go away
but it stays
