Green eggs and ham rewrite
Am Cam
The “I am” cam
Cam I am
That Cam-I-am
That Cam-I-am!
I do not like
that Cam-I-am
Do you like
green eggs and ham?
Do you like them with bread and jam?
I do not like
green eggs and ham.
Would you eat them in a van?
I would not like that .
I would not like that
At all
I do not like
green eggs and ham.
I do not like them,
Cam-I-am
Would you eat them
With your man?
Do you even have a man?
I do not have a man.
I do not like green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, cam-I-am.
Would you drink juice from a can?
Would you sit or would you stand?
I have no can.
I can not stand.
I have no van.
I have no man.
I can not eat them In the sand.
I would not eat them with some lamb.
I can not eat green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Cam-I-am.
Would you? Could you?
in a car?
Would it get you very far?
I would not eat them, in a car
It wouldn’t get me very far
You may like them.
That may be.
You may like them
in a tree
d not in a tree.
I would not, could not in a tree.
Not in a car! You let me be.
I do not like them in a van.
I do not like them with a man
I do not like them in some lamb
I do mot like them in the sand
I do not like them in a can.
I do not like them I can’t stand.
I do not like green eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Cam-I-am.
A plane! A plane!
A plane! A plane!
Could you, would you
on a plane?
Not on a plane! Not in a tree!
Not in a van! Cam! Let me be!
I would not, could not, with a man.
I could not, would not, in a can.
I will not eat them with some lamb
I will not eat them i can’t stand.
I will not eat them on a plane.
I will not eat them, I’m not insane!
I do not like them, cam-I-am.
Stay!
In the dark...
Pray, in the dark!
Would you, could you, in the dark?
I would not, could not,
in the dark.
Would you, could you,
in the rain?
I would not, could not, in the rain.
Not in the dark. Not on a plane,
Not in a van, Not in a tree.
I do not like them, Cam, you see.
Not in a man. Not with some lamb.
I can not stand, with bread and jam
I will not eat them in a car.
They will not get me very far!
You do not like
green eggs and ham?
I do not
like them,
Cam-I-am.
Could you, would you,
On a boat?
I would not,
could not.
That’s what I wrote!
Would you, could you,
on a boat?
I could not, would not, on a boat.
I will not, will not, that’s why I wrote.
I will not eat them in the rain.
I will not eat them on a plane.
Not in the dark! Not in a tree!
Not in a car! You let me be!
I do not like them in a van.
I do not like them with some lamb.
I will not eat them with bread and jam.
I do not like them with a man.
I do not like them I can not stand.
I do not like them Cam-I-am!
I do not like
green egss
and ham!
I do not like them,
Cam-I-am.
You do not like them.
SO you say.
Try them! Try them!
ANd you may.
Try them and you may pay.
Pay!
With your life,
With your soul.
With your eyes.
Pay!
I tried all thoes green eggs and ham....
Then I melted in that van!
My remains found by a man!
And he poured them in the sand
He cried about me in the rain.
Eating green eggs and ham caused great pain.
And the car. And the tree.
They have no recollection of you or me
So do not eat them in a van.
And Do not eat them with your man.
And do not eat them on a plane.
And you will not become insane.
And I will eat them here and there.
Say! Do not eat them In that car!
Yours sincerely
Cam-I-am
A Hammy Interruption
"It's great to meet you Essie." Rick said happily. "Would you care for some company while we're both swimming at the beach today?"
"You seem like a sweet guy Rick, but you really don't want to be around me." Essie said sadly as her smile faded. "My situation is not only complicated, but dangerous too."
"Believe it or not, I can relate to also being in a complicated, dangerous situation." Rick smiled. "If you need to vent, I would be happy to listen. If you want me to leave you alone, I can do that too. I just want you to keep smiling, so whatever you need from me, I'll do."
Essie smiled again, despite the walls she had put up. There was something about Rick that reassured her that he was sincere and trustworthy.
A scream from the shore kept Essie and Rick from saying another word.
"My ham, what happened to my ham?" A beachgoer screamed.
Questioning who would bring a ham to the beach, Rick turned to the shore and saw a monster laughing at the terrified beachgoer. This monster was none other than a giant, cooked ham with fangs and sharp claws.
"You people have been eating my brethren for years, now it is my turn!" The ham monster jeered. "I wonder how you taste with pineapples on top!"
"Essie, stay in the water!" Rick said quickly. "You'll be safer here!"
"Rick, wait!" Essie cried out as Rick rapidly swam to the shore.
Dirk and Doug directed the other guests off the beach while Rick approached the monster. He was grateful for Dirk and Doug's efforts, as he wouldn't need to worry about bystanders. He would still need to be mindful of Essie back in the ocean, but he hoped to take the ham creature down fast. But before Rick could summon his helmet and don his armor and weapons, Essie ran in front of him and bravely faced the monster....
To be continued....
