Dearest Aubrey.
Typically, our admins don't enter Challenges so that each user has a fair shot at winning them. However, thanks to the encouragement of one of your fellow writers, we are making an exception. To address your inquiries in order:
You're brand new, so please don't panic. You're still learning your way around here. Many of us are, so you're in good company.
Hopefully this challenge submission, in combination with our blog, will help to make you more comfortable with Prose.
It's crucial to first note that there are fundamental differences between the iPhone app and the web version. This is only temporary. Our small team is committed to optimizing your experience on both versions of the platform, but there are still kinks that need to be worked out. Thank you for your patience.
If you're on iPHONE, click the profile badge at the very bottom right of the screen to display your profile-- where the option to EDIT PROFILE is clearly displayed. From there you can add/remove/edit your profile photo, create a short bio, and change/update your username.
If you are using Prose. from your smartphone or desktop browser, please direct your attention to the top of the screen. On the far right, next to the pulse symbol (more on that soon) you'll see a small circle. Hover over the circle so that the drop-down menu appears. Click on "profile" to view your profile where-- again-- EDIT PROFILE is clearly displayed. Once you add a profile photo, it will appear within the circle.
The only piece of information that you cannot change is your "writer level." For reference, everyone begins as a Reader. By participating in challenges, creating posts, and accumulating 'likes,' you earn experience points. There will be more details on Challenges, Profile/Settings, Hashtags, and Levels in future blog posts.
In the meantime, please be sure to follow the Prose admin profile for updates. You're also encouraged to contact us by email, anytime, day or night, with your questions or concerns at info@theprose.com.
Thank you for reaching out to the community for assistance. We're so happy that you found Prose.
