Colourless
Since I am more of a writer and less of a visual artist, I would have to choose a world without color. Without color, all of us would have to find another characteristic to describe for nearly everything that we write about. A deep red rose becomes the beautifully twisted, pedaled flower, of velvet softness and the harshness of a cold and wintry night, pricking without remorse. I think it would be just as wonderful as the life I live now.
Colours and Music
I'm afraid to admit that I cannot choose either aspect of this challenge, such is my love for both music and colour.
Without music how would I get through the worst days of my life when nothing is there to give me a lift? Music inspires me, it stimulates deep emotions, it raises me to the heavens and sets free my soul when all around me is mire.
Without colour what would art be? How could I pull out my paints and create great swathes of blues and greens and yellows...
How would the world seem with colour? A blue sky turned into a grey smudge, a wildflower meadow would die into a dull and lifeless wash. No, not for me.
You can have it.
Colorless
I'd prefer a world without color
Because color only does much
Sure, it gives pizzazz to sight
But music can be so much more
Can make you laugh 'till you ache
Make you sob your heart out
Make you want to beat someone
Music can inspire, can create
Can cheer someone up
And don't we already love
Black-and-white pictures?
What would the difference be
If the entire world
Looked the same way
