He Likes It, Hey Mikey!
When I was a kid, there was a Life Cereal commercial with a cute little boy named Mikey. In the commercial he is at the kitchen table with his brothers who won't eat the Life Cereal, "because it's supposed to be good for you". The brothers pass the bowl over to Mikey, assuming he won't eat it because, "he hates everything". Mikey surprises his brothers and eats the cereal, and they say to him, "he likes it, hey Mikey!"
Years later, when Mikey became a teenager, an urban legend arose that Mikey died. The cause of Mikey's death was that his stomach exploded because he ate Pop Rocks and washed them down with soda...SILLY!!!
Backrooms (1990s)
Backrooms originated from an Internet creepypasta in the 1990s. The Backrooms were basically a place of yellow rooms and corridors with liminal spaces. It was filled with silence, some rooms have light, and some were in darkness.
During a walk simulation, the player would see some random objects like a blue sofa, a kitchen counter, and a vehicle crash into a wall and leave a streak of oil trail. Even the player said from time to time, “Hello, anyone is there?”
After a long walk, the player may feel the jump scares if the mold or humanoid monster showed up in a room. The player escaped to another room and ended up in a dead end so the player died.
Kane Pixel was the creator of the short film “Found Footage” in 2019. He directed those videos to make the place photorealistic. The walking pace was slow and quiet in one of the videos. Later, the player discovered more areas of the Backrooms at their own pace, and then, jump scares happened almost to the end. People in the comments section found this better than Hollywood or Netflix movies for horror and thriller.
