Oh Man,
it is no Myth.
The snake
never had
legs to lose,
nor arms
for that fact
of the matter.
But instead,
had pleaded
with the Dark
to please, please
have a pair...!
And Lucifer
in deepest of
cunning mulled
it over and
then declared
with a spark:
"Why not?!?"
a Snake with
limbs looks so
very svelte, and
persuasive even,
a slim silhouette
in sequin dress,
and stiletto heel.
Now it is Said:
where the Devil
himself cannot,
he sends Woman;
and wheresoever
cherche la femme,
there's Man, and
betwixt the two
...the Omen...

Myth: Snake challenge @Ola_8
Snakes’ Perspectives
A small, gray rodent Jes, scurried into the abandoned building. It stole the triangular yellow cheese with holes and entered the hole in the wall. The big, cool cat Tommy rushed to catch Jes, but Tommy slapped to the wall flatly like in a cartoon movie. Tommy could not catch it, so Jes was alone.
Jes saw Tommy go away and came out to put a tongue out. Without notice, the wet, slimy, legless reptile Crowley was above the hole where Jes’s house once was. Crowley snapped Jes’s tail for a second.
Jes wanted to escape with all four legs. Crowley ate it with one gulp. In the middle of the snake’s body, the bump was big. The rodent died from the toxins and enzymes. Then, Crowley burped and moved away with their muscles and vibrations through the old floor.
It went outside looking for more food as the gray rodents in the abandoned buildings. It can grow in size if eaten so much. Eventually, Tommy would be afraid to get more rodents for supper. Crowley swam in the water and ate fish or eggs in the nest.
Tommy wanted to be alive, so it meowed to the eagle E for help. E sat next to Tommy. Both hatched a plan to trick Crowley into a plastic bird in the old house.
Crowley was getting hungry and searched for more food. All the snake found was the bird in the house. Crowley waved away its tail to catch the plastic. Then, E’s peak cut its head off. Tommy was shocked behind the scene.
Finally, the giant snake was dead. E shared its meal with Tommy, who meows, “No thanks, I can only eat mice and cat food.”
E ate some, and Tommy searched for food in the streets. Tommy cannot find any food but another snake. Probably it was Crowley’s dad Maroon, whose black skin and red spots. Tommy escaped before it sensed fear.
Maroon sensed his son nearby. It waved along the paths to the eagle’s trap. The snake saw the eagle fall asleep next to his son, and it went for a snack.
Tommy came to see if the eagle already finished its meal but saw Maroon’s tail rattled. Tommy escaped and never asked for help from the eagles. It was so afraid if snakes can eat eagles, then what do eagles do?
Maroon turned his head. “I sensed fear from the cat, but the cat ran away. The cat will be doomed!”
Tommy was drinking water by the pond. It heard nothing, but Maroon was at Tommy’s tail, sticking his tongue out. So that was the end for Tommy. Also, it was a new beginning for Maroon.
A snake named Rose
When the snake was a child
She began to walk
Only so late a child as the rest of nature
A flower always finds a way to let its petals blossom
When the snake started to walk
Soon she discovered what it meant to run
for she ran faster and better than any other creature
Flowers now knew what it meant to truly bloom
When the snake started to realize she was running so fast
she could not savor enough
She began to slow down
She grew to find the love of others
Like the sweet scent of a flower draws in the bees
When the snake started to stop and take a breath
Her breath was taken away
Her lovely legs she'd used to walk and run and then stop
Were forced open and held down
Like a flower being plucked and pulled apart for ones own satisfaction
The snake grew fangs to inebriate her enemies with toxins
grew to unhinge her jaw to devour even the biggest and strongest of threats
Her soft skin shifted to serpentine scales
her little legs shed off with her skin as she decided no one could ever force them open again
Her arms left her too as she no longer wished to hold another except to constrict
She no longer resembled a flower
When the snake became the snake
She thanked the gods who blessed her for who she became
for she prayed and prayed for the change
She finally understood
All flowers shed their petals
As all snakes shed their skins
