How did you make yourself?
I sit here tonight asking you for wisdom. You proud warrior who braved the trials and tribulations of late nights and too-early mornings. You, who pushed yourself for weeks on end without sight of rest, who strove to claw your way above your peers, though you knew they would do the same.
Did you ever feel lost? Uncertain of the future to come, and unsure of what you were supposed to be? Tell me how you managed to find light in a tunnel with seemingly no end. I also want some light. If you could, please lend me a hand and take me with you. I'm scared, and I don't want to be alone here anymore.
Or maybe...you knew from the start who you wanted to be, and the longest stretch of your life was the climb towards that mountainous peak where you've seen yourself standing for years?
Did you ever slip on the way there? Have you always seen yourself standing on that peak alone? Or were there others? Others who cheered, extended their arms, and urged you to come join them?
Can lend me your strength? Can I come join you too?
It's lonely down here. Everyone around me wants to find a path, strike off and seek fortune, but I sit here at a crossroads, solely meditating on which trail to take.
All of us sat here at one point, together, laughing and screaming our heads off "my life is mine, I want what I can make, and I make whatever I want!"
No more.
Here I lie, spread out, covering empty ground. Desperately stretching to see how far I can extend my limbs in the hopes that just a few more inches will put me in reach of something tangible.
A sign.
A lifeline.
Hope.
So as I sit here, tonight, asking you for wisdom, please answer my plea, for it may give me the push I need to stand up and walk proudly forwards.
How did you make yourself?
