Jabbing My Soul

The memory roils over my soul

stabbing stiletto of demeaning words

inserted into spirit and twisted.

Jabbing, jabbing, trying to cause pain

paring away self esteem in shavings

leaving barren waste of nothingness.

Blackened heart pulling me down

dragging me to his own Hell

afraid to be alone with himself.

Screaming in her Father's house.

Blaming , accusing, bathed in hate.

Years of his passive, self centered existence

Catching in my throat and then exploding

Leaving nothing uncovered. Fire that always burned within me

Suddenly burning loved ones.

Within one episode, he walks on pedestals and I walk on ice.
