What is love?
Love, isn't defined by gender.
It shouldn't need a defender.
It doesn't matter if you're white, grey or black,
Or if you live in a mansion, house or shack.
Whether you're a man or woman,
We're all human.
When one heart connects to another,
With a lover,
That's all that should matter.
So why does it cause society to shatter?
Love is love,
Whether you believe in yourself or the Almighty above.
Why would anyone bat an eye,
If a guy adores another guy.
Why would anyone say they're being racy,
If a lady adores another lady.
It's honestly none of their business.
It's not an illness, it's not audacious, or faithless,
But it's righteous,
So I don't understand those being contentious.
Let love be love,
And accept those thereof.
Canon Ball Launch
An English teacher once was I
And often found under my eye
A work of somber snobbery
What must I do but force the young
To acquiesce to savage tongue
long-winded, pompous bobbery
I tell them all what they "should" think
But all the while I'm on the brink
Of telling them "It's robbery!"
Our time is lost, and can't be gained
So long it takes to ascertain
If this is but some jobbery
Touted for the very reason
that its native publish season
Someone paid the mobbery.
(Oh well. It was good while it lasted.)
Public Bathrooms
Ok, I feel that the U.S. needs to upgrade all its public bathrooms with stalls you can not peek in. Now china has things I don't much like about their bathrooms. However, their stalls are better than ours. We should all be able to go to the toilet without worrying about someone just peeking in at us. And I feel that men's bathrooms should have stalls around the urinals as well, No one! man or woman should have to expose them selfs, in public same-sex or not. I feel the stalls should go all the way down to the floor or, no more than one inch off the floor. They should be taller than a tall man in height. So no one could peek under or over the stalls. And they most definitely need to bring back mandatory toilet covers, and until they do. You women that like to do the hover, pick up the toilet seat like a man before you do, and put it down when your done hovering.
Short and Sweet
I'm not a feminist.
No, that doesn't mean I'm sexist. (Y'know, kinda like how if you're a feminist you don't hate all men)
There's too much grey area (at least, in the U.S. version of it) for me to proudly say I'd be a part of it.
I believe that feminism, (once again, IN THE U.S.!) creates a world of reverse sexism.
Religion
The root of all evil.
Segregation,
War,
Everything wrong in the world, stems from religion.
It might make you feel safe to believe, but it actually keeps the damage going.
Do you really think you will go to Heaven? It doesn't exist, neither does hell, other than being trapped here on this planet, of believers.
Life’s Value in Conflict
I'm lost when it comes to abortion; my religious views and my baser human opinion clash. As a Catholic, I would never consider abortion, and I DO believe that everything happens for a reason. Fate is God's development, and it ties into every choice that's ever made. Life challenges us every day, and nature has a way of correcting itself. For instance, if a woman miscarries, that is God's, and nature's, way of saying that she wasn't ready to have that baby. Abortion, to me, is cheating God. I don't believe that this is a woman's rights subject, I believe that it is more about life and death and giving new lives a CHANCE to live.
As a conservationalist, though, I believe that there are already too many human beings for planet Earth to support. Each one of us is destructive and ultimately detrimental to every other earthly organism (that is struggling to survive because of us). We, as human beings, have a misplaced sense of importance that I wish we didn't. I have no idea why we believe that we are so above other living things. It hurts to see other species going extinct because humans are so selfish. I also believe that abortion, on the other hand, is selfish on the woman's part.
In short, I don't know how I'm supposed to feel about abortion. I know that I am only one voice and one opinion, but I know what my decision would be, and I wouldn't have a problem living with the consequences. What I couldn't live with, however, is the guilt that would most certainly consume me had I ever decided differently.
Genders & Sexualities
Okay, going to be super informal in writing this (sorry) and I'm going to apologize in advance for the way I word things. Please give me feedback with your opinion, just try not to chew me alive, okay?
This is a pretty common topic nowadays.
Sexualities is surprising something I have no problem with, but I do believe there to be only three: Heterosexual, Homosexual, and Bisexual. Asexual is weird in my opinion. And don't even get me started with the differences between sexuality and romantic orientation.
Gender is where things get more iffy with me. I believe most people are what they are born, but I also get people feeling as though they were born in the wrong "body" so to speak. So cis and trans, I'm okay with.
It's once you get passed those that I have a problem.
I have a friend who is gender neutral (even though she uses the pronoun she, since she was born as a female). I personally find this weird. You have to be a gender.
I have another friend who is demi. For those of you who don't know this term, it basically means that you are a certain gender sometimes. Kind of like gender fluid, which means it depends of the day on what gender you are. I personally find this weird as well. How are you only a boy sometimes?
I fully understand cis and transgender, and understand you either like the opposite gender, same gender, or both. It's the other ones I don't personally understand or agree with.
What are your thoughts on the matter?
