Soft rain of summer
Moistens bodies of lovers
Stars shine their faces,
The storm-god's harpstring
Melancholy music played
With wet fingertips
Gentle lover’s kiss
Begetting all things living
And mistress of pain
I wonder if the
Angels cry only when it
Rains to hide their tears.
Such beautiful drops
Are too stunning for the dark
Eyes of flawed humans.
Rain mirrors tear-fall;
time stands still between the drops
as you say goodbye.
curled toes on damp green
makes me want to go and dance
feet move with each drop
rainy afternoon
from puddle to puddle
clouds gather

Pitter patter
Splash splosh
Such a wonderful symphony of the rain.
pounding my window
pelting down in fluid sheets
Rain drip-drop dripping.
