Undying Sun
I drink from your fountains
from a place I can’t leave,
no control over rhythm
of our human needs.
Clustered to the earth,
your hips against mine,
senses once alone
immersed in us, entwined.
I taste intoxicating nectar
sitting in the dark of you,
stars curled around
naked feet, dancing
with your soul.
Wandering through
tangled veins feeling
the wind of my pith,
wafting scent of
bodies interlaced.
Sensual white butterflies
embrace our air,
twilight captures us
in scattered flight,
painted moonlight,
volcanic desire.
Intoxicating beats,
love without boundaries
encompassing our shores.
Shivering lust,
numbness of emotions
washes over, takes hold
tingling without touch
in undying sun.
Morally adrift
Preparation is everything
And good timing is the key
So I think of everything
Make the clockwork sing
And bring fate to its knees
A day of important scheming
Which I really must not fail
Beckons with riches gleaming
Or horrid punishments looming
If my plan goes off the rails
I weigh my porridge from the jar
Microwaved to make it faster
Then I step into my reliable car
Get trapped in snow for an hour
Cursing the damned weathercaster
The gap between pass and fail
May be whether the weather is
Or whether it is not a gale
And the moral of this pithy tale
Is really whatever you please.
Rain
i’m falling,
falling from the clouds,
clouds that cry crowds...
crowds just like me.
Wow, how nice it was up there,
there with gray pillows,
pillows that the wind blows,
blows with thunder,
thunder that brought the screams of lightnings...
Wow but how nice it was...
i’m falling.
i’m just a tear from the Hellish heaven,
Not knowing which grave to fall in,
Not knowing which sin
i have committed.
Where will i land?
Where will i land?
Will i be awake?
Will it be a river or a lake?
Where i won’t be seen,
a simple drop in the ocean.
Or will i hit the ground;
and if god is good,
i’ll find a seed to grow a tree.
Where It will be free,
to grow taller than clouds
and let apples fall on the heads of angels!
Wow, can i choose
Or will the wind push me to a spider’s web?
To be a slave
but look like a crystal.
I have fallen...
on the young tongue of a girl,
Curious for the taste of freedom
...it tastes like lemon.
Games.
Our America.
Handed over to him
In a golden box
Wrapped with a dollar sign bow.
Like a child with a new toy,
His plans become our misery.
Tearing our feet with razor sharp teeth,
Drowning us in dribble as he sleeps,
Letting his friend try us out
Knowing his friend's intentions.
It becomes an heirloom.
Ten year old smashes us with cars.
Daughter forces us to tell her
"You're beautiful."
"I love your purse."
"I'll retweet everything you say."
The toy's protests seem futile,
The sheer numbers deemed
"Not quantifiable"
Despite the obvious facts.
Alternate facts are our reality.
Threatened with separation.
To be sent to different toy stores
At whim, without reading the receipt.
Toys R' Us toys are sent to Walmart.
Disney to Orlando Studios.
Target to Walgreens.
The general vicinity suffices.
In the background,
My horrified eyes water
At the sight of the bully mangling us.
Crushing us with cruel words.
Brutalizing us with threats.
I feel like a dog in a cage
Watching its new owner ready
A needle of questionable serum
To inject into the new test subject.
Helpless.
