Almost free.
I try to get away but my chest hurts so much. My breath comes fast and hard as I run through the trees. I look back again. I can hear the footsteps but I cannot see the figure.
It feels like my soul is burning and I'm finally coming towards the light. I'm almost free. No longer a captive of the maniacs that call themselves gods.
I'm almost free.
But the blood pouring from me is making my legs shake. My throat constricts and I choke on the metallic taste.
I was almost free.
But they reached me.
Horror of Mind
'Get a knife.'
Oh, no, not again.
'She's going to kill you. Get a knife.'
"Go away. I'm building a biomarker grid."
'You know you want to.'
"I'm a scientist."
'She's after your work.'
Was she really? No, resist.
'Do it now. There isn't much time.'
"You can't make me."
'You feel that pain starting in your head? It will grow every moment you resist. Get the knife.'
The pain went from throbbing to stabbing.
Mom was in the kitchen, and she had plenty of knives. I went up the stairs.
Damn schizophrenia!

Too Far Gone
My soul is bleeding
begging for this pain to stop
My body is trembling
trembling deep inside
I am a monster
A monster that has gone insane
I am too far gone
I laugh
As I kill the guard
Guarding my cell
Then every guard in the asylum
The prisoners leave the prison
Only to do my bidding
Killing anyone and everyone in the city
Babies, adults, the elderly
It doesn't matter
For I have become God
I decide who lives and dies
And it's time to make haven hell
It time the insane ruled this city
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha !!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep out of the Charlion’s path!
The new town I visited on the weekend seemed amazing. But the place turned strange after dusk. All the shops were closed. It looked like there was a mist forming everywhere.
I looked around, everyone was heading home, shutting their windows in fear. Then I heard it. A loud deafening shriek.
"It's the Charlion."
"The What?"
"The Charlion." To be fair I should have paid attention to the signs: WATCH OUT 4 THE CHARLION.
I heard the beating of wings in the distance. I thought I was a goner. What saved me was another beast which appeared out of nowhere.
Blood Waves
The waves are inky black and the moon is full overhead. The screams have ceased, at least for right now. Korona can't see the desolation, but she knows that it's there. After all, she caused it.
She didn't know which was worse--the screams or the silence.
Howls on the horizon echoed to her ears now, and she couldn't tell if they were human or animal. Perhaps a mixture of both.
There is the soft whir of wings over head, and she knows the Scavs are out and hunting.
She jumps into the waves, over her head, and discovers it's blood.
Memories
I close my eyes to relive the many memories this pace has broguht me. The nights I laid and watched the stars fall from their places and the days I ran playing with my family. That was before he ruined my life. I sigh and turn to walk back to my car and I become face to face with him. His face is bloody, with a half smile.
"Told ya I'd be back for ya pretty little princesses." I try to scream but he puts a cloth to my mouth and everything goes black.
I sit up in bed panting.
maybe you weren't totally prepared for ALONE, you know? ALONE. like really and truly alone in italics like ALONE
like all capitals, bolded, italicized ALONE.
exclamation mark
how hardened criminals bawl like babies when ALONE.
like the worst thing you can do to anybody is make them alone. like even if it's for their own safety, or whatever, that alone is the worst torture you can put on anybody, ever, even like rape or stabbing to death with a pen or like having your head hacked off with a blunt machete, how all of that
is merciful compared to ALONE.
Grave Stone Inscription
My breath caught in my throat, my hands turned clammy, and I felt light headed. The sight before me caused me to come back to reality. My mother's grave stone had words written on it. Not the kind where it talks about how great she was. The words read,
She who lay here,
Lays here no more.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and spun around and screamed at the top of my lungs. My mom was standing behind me, just a skeleton.
