Happy Endings
A happy ending is when people get their way
But not everyone has a say
Some will try
Some will cry
And some will flaunt
These people do not often get what they want
But the people who do, those lucky few
Do not often wind up feeling blue
When everything falls into place,
Your life seems to be going at just the right pace
Telephone
When ever we talk I feel like we’re playing a game of
t e l e p h o n e
You say three words, I hear twenty
I say OK, you hear no, not really
Reading into every word you say
Would you say it
if you really felt it?
Is this all rehearsed?
Are you speaking from your mind or your heart? Am I just dreaming?
What are you doing now?
I text you
but you don’t text back.
Do you just not want to deal with me right now?
Or are you trying to think of the perfect thing to say?
I think this is all way too complicated
Can we just talk
without playing
t e l e p h o n e ?
Blue skirts are super cool
Lost of the skies
And dragonsnap seas
When I saw her skirt
Shizzle Trizzle cause she sashayed
And the skirt was long
It was a cool medium blue
With a pattern I intended to study
I am the chipped wall paint
I feel like that now
Because inside I'm dead
All I did was study her skirt
Then look back at the corner on the wall
Where the cieling met it
And stared at that, too
And it wasn't as fascinating
But I can't keep staring at the skirt
It's our first date.
