I Dare You To
I dare you to,
Remove all obstacles from your future success
Shoulder the responsibilities for that position
Change the dynamic of required elements
Not to make it easier for others to acquire the position
But to make it easier to find candidates qualified for the position
Provide each with the essential tools for success
Then step back in amazement witnessing what does evolve
And wonder why no one ever thought of this before.
Step out of your emotions
You should listen to what I have to say, even if you don’t trust me. It’s easy to see clearly, when you take a step back.
I may not have the right, but I dare you to change.
I dare you to shed the skin of who you are and rebuild yourself.
Forget that pent-up anger, at yourself, and at the world. Let it all go.
I know you’re afraid of the dark, of failure, of the unknown. But don’t you control that?
I dare you, become someone new. Someone better. The person you’ve always wanted to be.
I dare you to...
"I dare you"
"Are you mad?!"
"I dare you to go over there, and kiss her."
"I am not doing that. I mean yeah, she's hot, but she probably doesn't want to."
"Well then go talk to her like a normal person and find out," I said over the loud music.
"...I hate you so much, Michael."
I sat back on the stool and watched the scene unfold. After a few minutes of talking and a little flirting, the girl smiled and sheepishly accepted the kiss.
"See, Angie?" I asked as she returned. "That wasn't so hard now, was it?"
