Meditate on

I mediate on and on...

Upon this belly button

so far pressured and

pressed for all of time

here in this enclave

A mine, not mine, I recall

A fossil of the divine

whose scallops I trace

searching for a paradigm

that would fit in line

I think of a Knife

in the gray waters

and of laugher through

tears killed while running

And contemplate on this dent

Life indentured and

long since indented

expressed of substance

yet still not vented

A self-tarring and

feathering precise

but not perfected

oh! to start again

The hide scarred... soul dejected
