The Impact of a Small Act
You’ll think it odd what I did today...
I gave a fellow my shirt... not off my back per se
but as it were... I remembered from weeks ago:
It was what he had asked me for...
“I love your shirt! Will you let me have it?!” eyes pleading
in that as of yet not jaded unadult belief that it all might
somehow become reality... maybe half-jokingly...
we grow up so very fast, and drastically.
But I thought to myself—why not?!
If it would make a person Happy? and it’s as simple
as just this act...
I did not think it would hit him
as hard as it did...
We’d likely never meet up again, and I was hardly “spoiling” him
though it seemed that I did...
He said: “Why did you do it M..? when I am such a piece of sh*t?”
Perhaps it was the unwitting symbolism... that made it all so devastating.

Unconscious Mind
I want to tell you my story of my unconscious
mind. It believes that things in the past should remain in the past. Such as slavery
and wars. I believe we can touch base with
the past but not dwell in it. We cannot change what happened in the past. We also
wasn't there. I believe that if a statue is put
up from a flash from the past history, it was put there not to remind us of the pain, but to
remind us how we lived through a time that wasn't made to be understood, just completed.
I don't mind the statue of pass figures of the military because they are someone's grandparents as well and those people have
the right to be proud or shown their family history. Sometime it bothers me, but my words are silent. Also, I believe people are
undermining authority to show-off for the internet. We were raised to respect authority,
and believe it or not every official is not a worm. Some, did come to work to protect and serve. I believe that money spent on round-a-bouts in the city should be used on
fixing the city potholes and sidewalks. I believe that all children guns and weapons should be sold ONLY in crayon colors with
the exception of black and grey. When a
child see a black or grey gun, they will automatically know it's not theirs and put it down. To stop the carelessness of parents
with their weapons. I also believe if a child
gets to their weapon and use it by mistake,
the parent should be brought to justice not
the baby who is already stunned by the sound. I believe the world spends too much time
trying to correct the past. The future is developing slower because the time is spent trying
to change the past. NEWS FLASH the past is finished. The future is our to change.
My last words........One eye open does make you awake, not half sleep!! No pun intended.
