Angels weep in crystal fury
for us sorry souls who’ve
so very far to go
traversing through the snows
our tracks grown thin
at the crucial point
where we ought
to have taken wing
But no we’re buried
here below
way down below
to the skies turned
immobilized
with so far yet to go
Angels weep in diamond flurries
for us sinners who’ve
yet so far to grow
out through the
drafty window
our thoughts gone thin
at the crucial point
where we ought
to have taken wing—

The air I can’t breath
I don’t know why people want a happy ending, because endings are just not happy. They tend to bring pain and lost, and sometimes even envy. I don’t know why people want a happy ending, why would you want something so good to be cut short. Why not ask for a happy middle or even a happy start. I don’t know why people want a happy ending, because in the end you end up broken and crying. Maybe even praying for air inside your lungs.
