WORD PAINT
Tresspassing the streets
enchanted with tweet, whizz and buzz.
I waved my hello
to the whistling wind and the chirping birds.
Sailing swiftly singing the songs
of the sea,
Eyes wondering and hands carefree.
The bushes like meshed work of art
with thousands of insects playing
hide and seek.
hide and seek.
The flowers blooming like the rainbow in the sky.
This day, my heart stands atop a mountain peak.
Piercing through the crowded dusts
With each steps I missed
my lost love.
Realizing days ago that
My love was, but a painful joy.
The feelings wrapped in me
is nothing but,
A human made of muscles of sorrow
and skin of laughter.
An Outline of : When Left to My own Devices, I Write
I am what lies
before the end
Beginning truths
of shadows, thin
I verse with you
in whispered words,
Exhaling life
I quench your thirst
I master keys
and unlock doors
I draw you closer
than before
Empty of words
I fill your thoughts
What might happen?
What cannot?
But, when the day
is finally done
I rest from work,
drink in the sun
And though my nature’s
to reveal
For now, my name,
I shall conceal
My favorite person is...
During the year floods in the village left many homeless. Thank God no one was hurt.
But the homeless people were devastated. All were upset and all were amazed and their hearts were ruined.
Then an old gentleman said that the demolished houses should be rebuilt by means of hashar and lit the lights of hope for tomorrow.
Everyone who can work has come to hashar. Even people from the neighboring village came to help the people with food.
It was lunch. Everyone sat down to eat. But for some reason a little boy didn't sit down for dinner. He was really called. Didn't.
"Yes, he has a heavy ear."
"I think he is full."
- No, the boy has not stopped since the morning. Was he not thirsty or was he tortured?
In fact, this boy, who has been working in the hot and humid weather since early morning, has been amazed and at times surprised. The old man, who had an idea for hashish, came to ask him:
- Look at me, baby! Have you not tasted salt since morning? Or did you not drink some water? It doesn't happen. A little self-centered? Look at that, and the big guys from you are tired of eating too! But you are working hard on the pearl! Tell me, my son, why?
The boy finally spoke and said, "I'm fasting."
The father was in tears. They all fluttered. No, not because of the boy's response, but because they forgot the month of Ramadan when the flood came, and when they were worried about themselves, they forgot about Allah.
Then it became clear why the villagers survived even in such a terrible flood.
The Oxymoron
My name is Charles and I’m a bit of an oxymoron.
Well that is a false truth because I really am a walking talking literally device. One bright night I was just minding my own business sitting tall on a paper some stupid genius had used to play basketball with rather than finishing his rather easy 12 page essay.
Now, I say genius because the guy graduated high school at 12. But now he’s too distracted to focus on his easy college classes. I mean... he is clearly confused if he thinks playing trash ball is what is going to help his future. But I digress.
Anywho! There I am in the deafening silence just being some words on a blank paper and then poof! Would you believe it? A giant tooth fairy crashed into the room!
I couldn’t believe my nonexistent eyes. The tooth fairy isn’t real! Right?
Well turns out, that’s true. She’s not real. It wasn’t the tooth fairy it was a fairy godmother. Which is good because she is really real instead of made up like that other thing, am-I-right?
Anyway! She dropped her wand and then bippity bippity lookywho. I became. Human.
Clearly my only choice after that was to kill Charles and take his identity, right?
Don’t tell anyone ok? Not that they’ll believe you anyway. This kind of thing doesn’t happen, even if it is the truth.
