The Genie’s Wish
The room is dark, only the glowing of the lamp providing luminessence. I walked forward and picked it up, admiring the intricate golden designs. Suddenly, the room began to shake. I dropped the lamp and got into a crouched position, bracing myself. I coughed as the dust swirled around, when I brought my eyes back to the lamp, there was a man standing next to it. He has dark chestnut hair, warm olive skin, and shiny emerald eyes. I took a step forward. The man turned to me and smiled a breathtaking smile. “You have one wish, but I can only solve problems, what do you wish for my dear? The clock is ticking.” He said, inching closer, stopping only a few inches from me. My mind scrambled, trying to think of something reasonable to wish for, something for the better of humanity. But what slipped from my mouth was. “I wish, to know the solution on how to stop ageing.”
