The distance between us is as wide as an ocean

Our minds hours apart and worlds away

We could close the gap by simply picking up the phone

But neither of us know what to say

We are at an impasse things were said that had been kept hidden

There is no way to turn back the clock or deny what has been said

I suppose we could forget the last few days

Simply agree to disagree instead

Anger blinded me silenced my tongue

But as you tried to reason why you broke our sacred vow

I could not help but see you as weak and pitiful

My mind detached from the here and now

Then came the words of anger and spite

Cruel and unkind fired one by one

I could not see past your repentance I offered no forgiveness

All I wanted was for you to swallow the barrel of a gun

So here we are miles apart

Yet connected by a thread of pain

I love you but cannot be with you

I miss you but never want to see your face again
