You taught me how do dance 

At the verge of my destruction

You taught me how to laugh

At the beach of deepest sadness

You taught me how to think 

At the edge of certain madness

You taught me how to silence

At the brink of deafening screaming

You taught me life lessons

You taught me how to spare

The rewards of my life

With little weed and smiles 

You taught me how to feel 

Someone close to me

You taught me how to yearn

The smell of someone on my bed

You taught me how to see 

Someone in my mind

You taught me how to paint 

Two beautiful eyes on a memory 

You taught me how not to miss

Where I am coming from 

...But the things you never taught me...

You never taught me how

not to love you

You never said I love you

when your feelings faltered you 

And now I live a life 

Where there is nothing 

Stopping me from thinking 

About you

Ain't nothing about this life
