My Life’s Journey

Breathe…

Open your eyes…

Start with a single step.

The road in this journey that is life is too long,

Too tough,

Too frightening.

Misery…

Loneliness…

Death…

It will come crushing down upon you

Like great storms with strong winds;

Defying your belief, trust and hope.

I know these feelings- cried too much tears;

Hoping to wash away every single drop of these emotions.

Yet, Here I am wallowing in the darkness

Feeling lost,

Scared,

Alone.

Is there an end to this?

Or even a glimpse of light to tell that it has no eternity?

NO.

Life will keep pushing challenges along your path.

Testing you;

Forging your purpose and destiny in this world.

I am tired,

Nowhere to be found in this endless road,

Shouting for help.

I know no one will come to see,

To ask,

To lend a hand.

Years have gone by,

I am still traveling,

Wandering,

Looking for something... or anything;

That will make me stronger,

And turn me into a fighter.

Now, here I am.

Honed from fire,

Brimming with light,

Holding a sword of courage in hand.

I continue to take my path;

Head held up high.

Life offers good and bad.

I learned to stand up on my own,

I learned to defeat my fears,

I learned to accept life as it is-

To enjoy each moment of happiness,

To remain steadfast even in the midst struggles.

Breathe…

Open your eyes…

Start with a single step.

I will take with me the courage,

And the strength.

Today, I will surpass my journey in this road called life.
